Ipheion “Starflower” – Picture Special

This Ipheion “Starflower” is one plant that I’ve seen on my recent travels, and it just caught my eye.

I love how small and dainty the white petals of this Ipheion “Starflower” spread out from the centre, especially with the black line splitting each petal down the centre. They look even better in a vast swathe, spreading up the bank of the path.

I think it would be quite easy to recreate this on a smaller scale in your own garden, what do you think?

Feel free to share this photo on Pinterest, Twitter or Facebook, and show everyone that even sandy soil can give you a stunning display of colour.

This style of post for me is going to continue every Sunday in the future, because I think it’s important to appreciate the beauty of flowers (and I like to share what I love most) 🙂

If you need a bit more inspiration, then take a look at some of the other Picture Posts that I’ve pulled together to give you a few more ideas.
